Recently Chiquanta Higgens studied the bible and was baptized  Friday 12/16/11! She is a campus student @ UAB. It has been such a joy getting to know and love Chiquanta. Her heart is very caring and loving. She has truly became part of the church family here. To be honest, she has been part of the family for the last 2 ½ months.

It is so much fun and refreshing to be around her. God is amazing in how he has already used Chiquanta to encourage the church. There were 10 different woman that were blessed with the opportunity to help study the bible with her. These woman include the teen, campus, single, married, an older women ministries.  Being able to study the bible with others helps increase our faith, especially as we see right before our eyes the miraculous transformation that God helps the person make.

I know that the women involved in Chiquanta’s bible studies had a blast, and our faith was definitely increased!  We are very proud of her, and look forward to seeing all that God has in store for her life as a new creation.

Dezeray Colvin is going into her senior year in high school.  Her desire to seek God's will led to her making a decision to have Jesus as Lord over her life and she was baptized on June 19, 2011. View pictures Here: Dezeray's Baptisms Pictures
